How It Works

Your Quick Start Web design will begin with a conference call to outline the scope of the project: new or re-design, logo, color scheme, types of content buckets needed, photos and other media.

I'll provide a demo home page for your approval (one revision is included - additional revisions are $50.00 each).

Upon approval of the home page, the production phase will begin. Everything you need to know to create your Website is available in the Quick Start Webs User Guide.

All text content needs to be sent to me in a Word document. DropBox.com is preferred for sending Word document files, but if you wish to send the files by email, the files should total less than 10Mb per email. If you're unsure, please use Dropbox.

Photos need to be uploaded to DropBox or emailed (10Mb maximum per email). Photos should be sent in their original high resolution, large size. I'll crop, resize, and color correct them.

Text will be published "as is" (editing service can be arranged at $50.00 per hour).

The project will be considered completed when all agreed upon content has been published to the site and full payment received. Any additions, changes, or deletions of content after completion will be considered maintenance (maintenance plans are available, beginning at $50.00 per month).

Your Quick Start Web will be hosted on the TypePad.com blogging platform. What does that mean? I'll help you set up a web address for your new business, i.e., www.YourNewName.com, or map your existing web address to TypePad. As usual, typing your web address into a browser will open your home page. The only difference from your old site is that items in the left column of the page can have links to Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Write a Comment, etc. (While the links are optional, I suggest you take advantage of these powerful social marketing tools.)

TypePad is a popular and progressive blogging company founded in 2001. TypePad includes a basic back-up feature that's always available to you. In addition, I'll archive a copy of the HTML source code for your site.
